The course consists of a 6 mi. kayak & 4.5 mi. trail run. The
paddle begins in a lagoon, goes into Fripp Inlet, circles a buoy
and returns to the lagoon. The run is on single-track dirt and sand
trails within the park. Expect the unexpected!

A concert of old-time Southern Appalachian, Celtic music, and
breath-taking original compositions will be performed by Walt
Michael, a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has recorded
fourteen albums, appeared at the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center
and toured extensively throughout the US, Canada, Europe and the
UK.

Anything from a recreational kayak to a surf ski can participate in
this great event! Beaufort, SC, is having a kayak/canoe event
in downtown Beaufort in the Beaufort River. There is a 3 mile and a
7.4 mile race in the Beaufort River with put in at the Downtown
Marina on Bay Street.

This second annual event is a running festival for all ages. The
certified course is fast, flat and spectator friendly. It traverses
the coastal village of Habersham, starting and finishing in the
Haberham Marketplace. The course runs through the neighborhood,
along the marsh and beneath the huge live-oak stands. The
first race in 2009 included over 700 runners and walkers, and
nearly 900 total event participants.

pmSunday, March 28 will be Classic Boat Day in Beaufort. At
least 15 sailing yachts of classic design will be gathering at
Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club on Lady's Island and will race in
the afternoon to a buoy near the Downtown Marina and back to
BYSC. Two laps are scheduled for the race which will begin
around 2 PM. The yachts will be in size range up to 24 feet
in length overall and will be coming to Beaufort from as far
away...
